Does this DVD also cover the
HVR-Z5U and HDR-FX1000 camcorders?
Yes. The Z7U, Z5U, FX1000, and S270 are all basically the same HDV camcorder except for a few obvious external physical differences.
This 3-hour training DVD uses the HVR-Z7U exclusively in all of the demonstrations and close-up shots of the controls because it would be confusing (and pointless) to try to jump back and forth between all four cameras. The other alternative, producing a unique 3-hour long, in-depth, very detailed DVD for each camera would be redundant . . . and more expensive to buy.
So, although some advanced features and capabilities of the Z7U that are discussed during the DVD do not apply to the Z5U or FX1000, I'm sure you will have no problem following along and learning what there is to know about all four of these excellent HDV camcorders.
I assure you that this is the best and most detailed training DVD you can buy for the Z7U, Z5U, FX1000, and S270. You will not be disappointed.
